Digitization

Do you have spatial data in image or paper format and would like to convert it to digital format?

The most common method of data creation is digitization, where a hard copy map or survey plan is transferred into a digital medium through the use of a computer-aided design (CAD) program, and geo-referencing capabilities.

Do you require to convert data from one format into a different format (Shapefiles, Analogue maps, KML, Open Street Map API's etc) ?

At Upande we are able to convert your data into preferred formats so as to fit your system design. We would also advice on the suitable formats and fitting application in regard to your system.

KML

KML stands for Keyhole Markup Language which is an Open Geospatial Consortium endorsed XML based schema for expressing geographic data and visualization on Internet-based, two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional Earth browsers such as Google Earth. KML is not just supported by Google mapping applications but by an increasing number of Open Source and proprietary geoweb viewers and GIS systems.

Open Street Map

OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole world. It is made by people like you. OpenStreetMap allows you to view, edit and use geographical data in a collaborative way from anywhere on Earth. Moreover, OpenStreetMap data can be downloaded and used for commercial use also, under certain limitations.

Upande has extensive experience in contributing and using OpenStreetMap data and can provide any service you may need.
