Upande Ltd designed and is hosting Virtual Kenya website. Virtual Kenya is a website that is based on WRI's Natures Benefits of Kenya atlas. Upande has been uploading data from this atlas and from other sources while also creating awareness about the website.

The World Resource Institute and ILRI are partnering with Upande Ltd to increase accessibility to spatial data in various G.I.S. formats, which are based upon the WRI's Nature Benefits of Kenya Atlas, cutting across diverse fields that includes, the educational sector,G.I.S. professionals among others. This will be achieved through a series of google earth tours, videos and online resources including the social media. Upande has also been involved in a series of outreach activities in educational institutions such as universities, colleges,secondary and primary schools, giving them basic knowledge on G.I.S. and training them on how to use this platform. We also reach out to organisation that deal with G.I.S. to make them aware of this platform and allow the to share their own data.
