New project: Water Point Mapping

Upande ltd is providing technical support to Water Service Boards/County teams in water point data collection, analysis and utilization.

Data collection is being carried out using IDEOS Android mobile phones, to collect both positional and attribute infomation on water point sources and piped schemes.

The mapping exercise is being carried out with the participation of the respective Water Service Boards in the regions earmarked; i.e The Lake Victoria North Water Service Board (LVNWSB), The Lake Victoria South Water Service Board (LKSWSB), The Athi Water Service Board (AWSB) and The Tana Water Service Board (TWSB)

Already mapping has started in two counties; Busia and Kisumu with Kajiado and Kiambu set to start by the fourth week of April 2012 .
